The Central Mercato in Livorno was amazingly not damaged by WWII bombing.
This 18th-century, art nouveau-style building is an easy walk from the Piazza Cavour in the center of Livorno.

About 1/3 of the market is devoted to fish. Some varieties I did not recognize and the very small fish (below) about 1 inch long, had prominent eyes that were disturbing……

Outside the market is a large clothing market and a few streets beyond is the fruit market.
This is the location of the ONLY internet store I found that I could download all my emails. McDonalds offers wifi but it did not work the day I was there
